DRG Posted May 20, 2004 Posted May 20, 2004 Anybody have any idea why a Coloram 7040 scroller would repeatedly be blowing fuses? It's happened about 10 times over the last week. Also my thanks to all who helped me with my LJ/Hog problems.

Also my thanks to all who helped me with my LJ/Hog problems. Check for a faulty cable - a momentary short on the power lines can cause fuses to pop. Also, check that the little silver foil 'tab' on the scroll isn't jumping out of the sensor when the scroll reaches the end of its travel - apparently, if it does so the resulting scroll 'overtravel' might also cause a fuse to blow due to overloading of the motor (never had this happen to me, though).
