LED pars

Hello people of blue-room,

I was wondering if the LED par cans from http://www.thomann.de are any good for a begginer. http://www.thomann.de/gb/stairville_led_pa...alu_schwarz.htm is the full link to the one's I have seen.

Welcome Cameron. They are fine, but really much depends on what you want them for. here on the Blue Room it's always best to explain what you want things to do, because somebody wanting a colour mixing LED fixture to shine on a blank wall from a metre or two away may be very happy, but somebody with one on a bar 6m above a stage might not even notice it was on.

 

LEDs are still very dim compared with 'proper' lamped sources.

 

If you stick LED cans into the search box at the top right, you'll find hundreds of topic on them. Rather than start another, I will close this one, and suggest you have a read, then add your questions to one of the others.
