Floydey Posted October 29, 2008 Share Posted October 29, 2008 I am trying to connect a cheap headphone/boom mic to a Cobra MT600 to way radio. It seems that the 3.5mm stereo jack socket on the top of the unit is used for both charging and for connections of headsets (though obviously not both at the same time) I gather a headset is available with combined microphone/earphone and PTT. My question is - how are these connected? I have managed to connect the earphone to the earth and middle ring of the 3.5mm jack, but when I try the mic to earth and tip it puts the set into transmit.
