richard_cooper
I have a pair of speakers from an unknown manafacturer (well they've been painted as part of a set at some point which has covered over all markings). One needs a new HF driver, which is labeled as an AFP25DR, by FORMFOCUS. My google skills turn up Form Focus from Poland a Speaker OEM. Does anyone know of a UK source of these parts, or who may sell cabinets manufactured by them. The cabinets on the floor inthis picture look familiar, but for the life of me I can't think where I've seen them. Thanks for any help, Richard
Ken Hughes
Hi Richard Is it the unit pictured below that you require? http://www.shermann-audio.com/tweeter2_s.gif We used some of these once and have a couple of spares if you do need one. richard_cooper
Ken, I can't tell from the picture what the actual driver is, but the horn it's attached to is not the same as these, looking at this page, it looks very like the other picture horn, more square, here are a couple of pictures of the driver in question. http://www.fireboxdance.co.uk/front.jpg http://www.fireboxdance.co.uk/side.jpg http://www.fireboxdance.co.uk/back.jpg Thanks anyway, Richard
Ken Hughes
Hi Richard I believe there are several different horn sizes for this driver assembly. The body of the driver and its screw-on fitting look very similar. Let me know if yo want to try one.
richard_cooper
Thanks Ken, I've one more route to follow up, apparently there is some lettering cut into the foam underneath the colourful gauze front that's been added, so I'm going to cut that off and see what I can find. If not I'll be in touch. Thanks, Richard
Sound Man
Richard The driver in question is identical to the ones that are fitted in speakers manufactured by OHM industries, check out their website here. You should be able to get replacement diaphragms from them as I have done in the past. David
richard_cooper
David, Bingo! After removing some of the "decoration" the cabinets turn out to be Ohm MR-10's. I'll give them a call. Thanks all Richard
