People in that topic may well be right, as Unified D solder mount XLR 4 or 5s seem to cost roughly £3 for male or female (for the XLR5). Firstly does anyone know of significantly cheaper sources than that? Otherwise does anyone have any cunning plans to allow the use of the A/B etc styles in a unified D punched panel, and the use of PCB mount. The PCB non unified D are about half the price or less each, but from the looks of the Neutrik website, they aren't compatible with the standard unified D hole. So any cheap sources for the panel connectors anyone? Or alternatively any clever ideas to use non unified D connectors in unified D punched panels?
