Applying eq in virtual rack on yamaha m7cl

ok, stressed!

 

hope someone can help, iam trying to apply a graphic to an aux send on a m7cl but cant get it to work.

 

I have set the eq in the virtual rack to aux send one, I can see signal in and out but no effect on the monitor speaker when I try to eq.

 

Is this something simple or am I being really silly.

Is the insert turned on in the control channel you have the eq on? Is the eq in bypass?
