rooftop
Our Post-98 model Act 6+ with plug in DMX cards hold the output for about a minute before fading to black. I don't know if the later digital model has a hold feature.

ceecrb1
yeah its the "run like heck to the test buttons so SOME light comes out after the desk goes down" method of opperating dimmers. I´m sure there is a long list (including me) who has had a desk & OR DMX problem during a show and had to complete a theater cue list from the test buttons.........takes a lot more coordination and communication than you think!!! anywho... yeah the act 6´s do just auto FTB.As for ways to prevent it........ well there is the option of the addresses higher than DMX addresses can be used to run basic chases or scenes but this still wont kick in for a DMX failure/ dissconnect.
