washing machine

Hello, I'm looking for a washing machine for our laundry. Space and budgets are tight, but I would like something reliable, preferably with an 8KG load.

Also, there is a place which sells ex-MOD gear v. cheap - sorry, abroad at moment so don't have details to hand, but shouldn't be too hard to find it (I came across it when looking for a vaulting horse - and found one!)

If you have a busy wardrobe department it's worth looking at getting an industrial/commercial machine... but if budgets are tight they may be too much for you.

Dare I say that when I was touring we used two old fashioned twin tubs!!! and we managed to wash every day 110 shirts and all the underwear in them for over a year and a half!! and they are still working. Very hard work though.

 

Some theatres don't having washing machines and you have to bring your own, and the odd theatres that do have washing machines either have a good industrial washing machine or a normal domestic one like at home.

 

It always seems that the larger theatres that have good washing facilities are like RSC at Stratford, Theatre Royal Nottingham, Cambridge Corn Exchange to name a few. They also have gas fired tumble dryers.
