chris512 Posted March 16, 2004 Posted March 16, 2004 hi all, this might just be me being lazy :D but I was wondering if any one had any useful tips and tricks to use on the Strand 500 series (520i would be even better ** laughs out loud **). does any one have like a useful crib sheet of often needed commmands etc? just that ive been using one for the last month or so, but would really appreciate any useful tricks you've picked up just as I haven't really had a good chance to play with it. cheers!
Ike Posted March 16, 2004 Posted March 16, 2004 No tips as such but the GeniusPro/Lightpalette users guide is really quite good and easy to read. I think this is the link. I just found another pet hate - the menus on the strand site.
chris512 Posted March 16, 2004 Author Posted March 16, 2004 thanks ike, I have a copy of both the operators guide and the main 400 page reference guide :D but id like to second your pet hate - the strand site so very frustrating!!! :D most of the other major manfactures or hire companys have well designed easy to use sites but not strand for some reason! rant over.... :D
Ian Posted March 16, 2004 Posted March 16, 2004 Hi There are useful tips and tricks to use on the Strand 500 series published in the Strand news letters, these are available for down load from the web site. Ian
gareth Posted March 16, 2004 Posted March 16, 2004 There have been a few threads on the Blue Room in the past which have covered the subject of Strand 500-series programming tips. Try this one, this one and this one for starters. Oh, and the Strand Lighting newsletters, as mentioned by Ian, contain some useful programming tips by Rob Halliday you can download them here.
