dave singleton
Hi all, The other thread prompted me to ask this. Who's hiring colourweb 125mm? There seems to be oodles of people hiring the 250mm but not 125mm. If anyone knows of any companies it would be great if they could list them. Failing that I may be able to find out from AC? DOH! Scrap that, a google search spelt correctly has revealed some results! :o
Steve Cavill
Possibly because the 250mm is around £300 a panel while the 125mm is £1000 per panel. The way most companies do it, is to buy double the amount of the 250mm panels, and have 2 seperate hangs slightly offset, so that it looks like 125mm. gyro_gearloose
...but that only works horizontally or vertically, depending on how its offset. 125mm web has four times as many pixels as 250mm, so to get the same resolution you'd need four times as much 250mm web. One £1000 125mm panel is cheaper than four £300 250mm panels to get the same resolution.
