gnomatron
I'm about to buy a few Logic CM15 wedges, rated at 500W power handling; I'm wondering if I can get away with driving them with my existing LAB1600 amps? The CM15s state they're "8 ohms nominal" impedance, and the Lab has a bit over 400w at 8 ohms stereo.
dan slv-tech
Hiya As long as you dont clip the amp itll be fine, if theyre 500wRMS you can put at least 2 times that providing you dont clip the amp- speakers are resiliant, as a 500w amp wont output 500w constantly, prob not even half that running it with music, so to answer your Q, yes your amp will be fine, tho a little under powered.
