peter Posted December 22, 2007 Share Posted December 22, 2007 If its anything like our desks, it'll be a binary address for the board... it means the development team may have used that board in other products, where multiples of the same board may have been required. By adding the addressing switch, they can offset the data sent back to the desk from the faders. For example, Faders 1-6 may be address 1, then Faders 7-12 may be address 2. Having two boards set to the same address, or the wrong address set on a board, can cause faults such as faders reading incorrectly or apparantly flickering.
