Rob
If you're getting close to your weight limits on a vehicle it can make all the difference. You might have very small but extremely heavy items which may require a larger vehicle - so it does need to be thought about. It does sound a little strange to charge by weight though. misterbassman
It is for postage cost, as the hire company is in birmingham and tom is in southampton
James C
I remember being quoted carriage according to weight once before - I think it was AJS.
Mars
I'm pretty sure the desk is not weighting 30 kgs. Maybe with flight case included. A cast iron flight case. Just checked the manual:The desk is 12.5 kg, a flight case... add 7.5.
TommyFitch
ar rite, thanks for that. seeing as u asked the company is called Titans Films. http://www.titanfilms.co.uk/and apart from AJS (expensive), I cant find anybody else cheap in the southampton area. Andy Mel
you've got a couple of local options.... try GLS who are in southampton on 02380 436 622 I don't know if they have sirius 24s but they may well cut you a deal on a frog (mention this message in all negotiations!)...... or if they can't help it pains me to say Stagecraft who are 30 mins up the road....
