Does anyone think the moving head from cpc (code:DP2765866) is any good for it's price, if you were to buy one yourself? I think it compares to a mini mac apart from it is not as bright as it is halogen not discharge. Would this light be any good for school productions? Does anyone own one and can tell me more about it? :(

PLEASE DON'T YOU JUST HAVE 2 LOOK AT IT TO BE SICK

personally I think you would have problems with this unit and it's the old case

you get what you pay for
. Pearl River and Robe and budget Mac doesn't cost much more for a much better fixture also this fixture can only be used on a flat surface only! Which mean's it wasn't designed to work in a pro space meaing you couldn't fly it. How much is your budget and what sort of application is it going to be used for?

It is primarily designed, I would of thought for mobile discos as it is retailers that specialise in this area that sell the unit.

If the market is mobile disco's I still wouldn't advise anyone to buy this product. 10 channels per head and it has 2 built in programs (prob 10 steps in each) would get very bored very quick. mobile disco's move every night these fixtures have nothing in there design to suggest that the body of the head locks for transport or and little thing that I would expect in a budget fixture for this market. The hole thing says nasty to me and this is the sort of thing that give's budget equipment a bad name!

Ye I agree with the other guys, Perhaps look at the Pearl River Pilot 150. Great moving light with brilliant light output. I think CPC is a great company but not really for that kind of product.

I'm sure this mover is called the "ACME knight spot" ????

Nope the one I think scene master is talking about is THE CYBORG under the ShowTec brand. I can back up on the PR-Pilot 150 we own 6 of the 150 range I think there great for the price with all the features you expect.

It is, it's all a myriad of rebadged ACME products, Chauvet do the same 3 or 4 moving heads as well.

I am surprised it says it is 10 channel I was under the impression it was only 5 or 6, I thought the spot version of it was anyway.

But you are going to get what you pay for, however I can say that the ACME Winner scanner is good value for money and I have had no problems at all. But then a moving head is slightly more complex!

The pilot 150, pilot 300 and 250 are all great value for money and these units are good to service.

I Would spend a bit more more and get somethoing that will last you longer

the pearl river pilot 150 is by far the best moving head there is on the market these days if budget is a major consideration, I mean you can snap them up for around £500 inc VAT with lamp included

Thanks guys.

I thought it was too good to be true! It looked a bit plasticy.

What is the website address for robe and a dealers prices for their lowest spec moving head?

The cyborge is a bit naff and I don't think it has locking head so it would problely brake very quickly in transport.
