meatraffle Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 Hello,I'm after some advice..... I'm looking to buy a couple of DMX remotes to talk straight to the dimmers in 2 of our venues. If anyone who has experience of these could point me in the direction of a model that is compact & simple -needed primarily to call up dimmers for focusing, and also reliable -I'd be grateful. thanks in advance.
StuRobson Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 Hey there, I've been using a Artistic-Licence Micro-Scope 3 for the last 18 months to test pretty much anything with DMX. It's very intuitive and I feel quite easy to use. Here's a link to the latest model I'm sure there's probably a couple more on the net but that's the one I've been using...hope it helps...
benweblight Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 Have you considered getting a remote for your desk? (assuming there is one for your desk)
lxdad Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 Hello, Have a look at the Focus Hand Here They are very simple and just seem to work! LXD
smeggie Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 If you're not going to be doing anything more complex than on/off then perhaps the Jump Start might be of use - and it's cheaper for the task it does. AC
tokm Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 Got to second LXdad's recommendation of the ELC focus hand/focus brain units. Was going to suggest it myself if he'd not. Had one at each of the venues at my college, both worked fine even over 25m+ distances! Tom
