I am the Course Director for the The London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art Stage Management and Technical Theatre programme. I am very happy to answer questions related to this field of vocational training You may be interested to know that the LAMDA Stage Management department will be holding its annual careers event next month. We will be throwing open the doors of the MacOwan Theatre on Saturday 22nd March 2003 @ 1400. This event is organized to meet a perceived demand from individuals interested in working backstage in the theatre, but being frustrated by a lack of information about job opportunities and training. We believe these kinds of events help young people especially make informed choices about future training and career paths, as well as putting a few parents’ minds at ease!
