verycurious
Has any one else had problems with VL1000 failing to calibrate position properly?? Have checked for physical obstruction and so on. Can anything internal start to slip like the belts on a Mac2000?
zonino
are you getting an error message off them or are they just not calibrating and saying they're fine?
Paddywhack
We have had some problems with the colour wheels etc. in some VLs not calibrating - If they are the sort that have an optical sensor for the calibration. They have a bit of opaque tape on the glass that falls off after a while. this can be replaced with a bit of black-tac. You can usually spot where it should be by the bit of sticky residue left by its predecessor Hope this helps N.
AndrewR
I've had real problems with a faulty wiring loom in a VL1000 before. (And a local dealer too lazy to replace it) It manifested itself as a faulty gobo wheel. It is very possible that you have a similar problem. When the unit performed POST the gobo wheel juddered like mad and then didn't work normally.
