scottbramall
Hi,Just writing an essay and wondered what the name was for the chain hosts that move during shows. I saw them on the latest killers tour and the lighting rig changed throughout the show. Whats these type of hoists called? I have googled but it doesn't help if you don't know what they are called and have browsed the forum with no luck. Cheers for any helpScott
3guk
Bit of a vague question, but the kinesys system is computer controlled. For news regarding these and tours they have been used on : http://www.ukslc.org/index.php?option=com_...ordering=newest

Seano
Automation, was the word I was looking for. 'Automation' is a generic term that also covers (powered) moving set pieces, lifts, revolves, trucks etc. as well as moving rigging. Kinesis has already been mentioned, the hoists used with that are usually Liftket, sometimes CM Lodestar. Another system you might like to look at is Verlinde's Cyberhoist.
