MarcT
My vote goes to Teatro Fresnels, which always seem to have have limp barn doors.Compared to these, Min F's are a joy to use....... Marc
Pattern123
I'll stand up for the Minuette any day, great little lanterns and far better than their competition at the time - the truly awful gel barbecue that was the Minim F! The barn doors are actually fine IF you look after them - sure I wouldn't want them in hire stock - but that's another issue. All ours in the School here were bought new three years ago and still operate perfectly in our ancient collection of assorted Minuettes. As to the claim that the Quartet is better - oh dear! I've seen candles with better light output! OK they aren't quite as bad as the truly dreadful Preludes they replaced (How many years of my life spent replacing the lamp holders on those!), but I'd rather a Minuette any day, a darn sight cheaper, smaller (More of them in tight studio positions) better output and far greater focal range.
