lightingyoung
Hi all, I saw Wicked again and noticed that they had two Grand MAs; is one for LX and the other for projection?
gareth
Not seen the show, but my guess would be an 'active' desk and a backup. On big shows like that, it's fairly common to have two desks for programming, but the contents are usually merged into one console for the run. hookiefreak
The second one is the backup desk. Each projector has a dedicated computer running it. There is then a backup computer which can run either projector. Something a bit differant... the board op is on standby for each half at a time - there a no standby q's for the board op apart from at beginners for each half. This is because they are so busy throughout the whole show - there are very few breaks to actually fit a worthwhile standby in.
tokm
For anything Wicked tech related, see this topic: http://www.blue-room.org.uk/index.php?showtopic=16612 As it says in the 2nd post down (and it was all in LSI mag when the show opened) one runs the show, ones a backup and another to run the LED house light system.
