Wavicle appointed as Opalec Distributors

Wavicle Ltd. have been appointed by Opalec of California as Approved UK Distributors of their NewBeamô LED retrofit kit for the Mini MagliteÆ AA flashlight. Wavicle is now welcoming enquiries from genuine retailers, seeking wholesale prices for this highly innovative product. A dealer application form will shortly be available for download from the Wavicle website.

 

The Opalec Newbeamô retrofit kit consists of a 3 LED module, a black light guard (to replace the reflector), together with a new front ìlensî and is designed to replace the standard bulb in a Mini MagliteÆ AA flashlight.

 

Installation of the NewBeamô more than doubles the battery life, raising it to around 15 hourís continuous use. The unit is current regulated to provide constant, non-fading light output until the batteries are virtually exhausted, at which point a fourth, red LED illuminates to warn of low battery status.

 

The light emitted by the NewBeamô is a bright ìmoonlightî white in colour and very even in character. Although the variable focus function is lost, there are none of the dark rings or blotches normally associated with the light from the bulb it replaces. In common with other LED products, the LEDs used in the Opalec NewBeamô use no filament and will shine for many thousands of times longer than a normal light bulb. They are highly robust, easily withstanding a ìnormalî drop onto concrete, even when switched on and will effectively never need replacing.

 

The Opalec NewBeamô is easily installed without tools in under two minutes and is covered by a one year manufacturers warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. All stockists supplied by Wavicle will be given a free listing and link on the Dealers Page of the Wavicle website.
