Networking Light palette

So, this little paragraph is beginning to bug me;

 

PaletteOffline™ runs in Windows, so you can even network PaletteOS with existing Strand 300 and 500 series consoles, so no-one gets left behind!

Does this mean that the offline editor software can be linked via a patch lead or ethernet to a 300 or 500 series desk and control your lighting fixtures via that?

 

If not, what does it mean?

I think the amount of reads, and the amount of replies to this topic shows that no-one knows what is happening with it.
