Clearcom Call signal relay

Has anyone found a way of triggering a relay from the call signal on a clearcom intercom line?

 

I have seen strobe units and signal lights for techpro but nothing for clearcom.

 

Any ideas?

I've not seen a commercial offering but you could bodge it using the call light circuit on an ordinary belt-pack. This should trigger a relay I think.

techpro and clearcom are compatible.

 

If you are DIY'ing see the big intercom call light on dmx512.com, it would be very easy to change the circuit.

Neil,

get the schematic of the clearcom/techpro and just copy the call light circuit, from memory, 3 resistors, 1 darlington and one capacitor. replace lamp with relay and protection diode.

Are you looking for a strobe, or do you need a relay to fire some other gear? There are off the shelf strobes from a variety of manufacturers, including Clear Com. the Clear Com FL-1 signal flasher is one, the Production Intercom Blazon is another. If you need the call signal to fire a relay the Clear Com TW-40 Radio interface has that built in to key the radio transmit.
