j_pilborough
I dont need a license if the fish are simply going to be part of the set, and not an active part of the performance. :) :D Anyone seen a play where the fish are part of the performance? Grandmaster Dwarf
My other half tells me ......... "we did this at the Royal in Plymouth, Live fish are not good on stage, they are easily stressed with noise (audience clapping etc) often sit motionless on the bottom of the tank for hours. Much easier to carve some out of a large carrot and use thin fishing line to attach to the bottom of the tank . If you have bubbles or a circulating pump they'll move about quite realistically!".... Honest !
Tom Baldwin
Anyone seen a play where the fish are part of the performance? Performance, not play, but Stevie Starr used to regurgitate goldfish on stage. Wasn't terribly pleasant to watch, and I can't imagine the fish got much out of the gig either. shadaca
For tropical fish buy a can of mixed fruit cocktail, the colours are good and they are good with a few moments with an artistic bent and a leatherman. for goldfish a variety of tinned peach slices and carrots looks great. For more exotic creatures I would go and raid wardrobe for some polystyrene (you can weight it differently so they bob at different heights) and some bright coloured lycra. Hours of fun. And no unhappy fish. I hear their equity rep is a shark. (gets coat)
