Dazzler
Hello everyone, For one of our revivals I need to find out about rope ladders. When the show was originally staged, 3 of the chorus climbed up a rope ladder each. The ladder was hung over the stage. The ladders have a wooden step and rope sides. They have been in storage for a few years, and will need replacing. Now, I don't want to get into a big debate about how they are used, or rigged in the production, I just want to know where I can buy a rope ladder, and, because they will be climbed up, do they need some kind of steel wire core running up inside the rope? I have already contacted a rigging company I use a lot, but I am always interested to see if anyone out there has any other useful suggestions? Cheers, Dazzler
gingertom
I needed a similar product a few years ago, and found the best supplier to be a school/gym equipment supplier. Google turns up loads of results, and it seems to be a suprisingly competative market. HTH
