WiLL
I'm building a set over the summer for musical set inside the human body :) We're going for a 'human machine' look to it, so a semi-organic/industrial feel. With that in mind I'm trying to find a source for that flexible metal hosing that heating engineers and air conditioning uses. The larger bore the better really for impact. I've searched the net for a couple of hours but you know how frustrating that can be, and how fruitless sometimes too. Like this time, no luck yet so I thought I'd asked if any of you guys had any ideas?
andy_s
key industrial sell flexible ducting hose and various other types of hoses. (different colours and sizes). HERE. I expect places like RS or Slingsby also do this kind of thing, and you could also try local plumbers merchants.
paulears
The 8" duct material is big enough to put peoples arms and legs inside - great for robots and special effects. Most DIY warehouses do it too. RS certainly do.
Seano
It might be worth looking into some 'motorway communications ducting' too - its (semi)flexible plastic ducting, usually about 6" diameter, in a rather fetching purple, good for entrails maybe. :)
WiLL
Fantastic, cheers guys. I've been doing exam work with year 10's for the past week and it seems to have fried the portion of my brain which normally comes up with answers like this :)
