Radders
I am considering purchasing a low fog machine for use on our school stage. Because we only do a few shows etc. per year, I am on a budget! Is the Prolight Mr Kool any good? We are trying to create an effect for our forthcoming pantomime 'Jack and the Beanstalk' for a scene called Cloudland when Jack is up in the clouds! If not, is the Antari ICE 100 my best option, although more expensive?
timtheenchanteruk
don`t know about the prolight, but terralec do THIS its effective over about 25` wide stage, much bigger and the fog doesn't make it all the way across, the antari is good, but more expensive, both use normal ice, although the cheaper one the fog stays down longer if you crush it, it has no pump either, just a drain tap on the back
grumpy
Have always used the Ice100 in various venues, the only thing I dont like is the weight of the unit and the annoying front carry handle that you cant really grasp! Produces good low fog though and will run off DMX if you want. Also has a large (ish) ice compartment, so I usually chuck in a couple of bottles of water at the start of the night and at the interval I got nice chilled water! A small bonus for buying such a machine!
