The Blue Room's Supported Charity for 2006

The Blue Room is run entirely by unpaid volunteers as a not-for-profit organisation - we generate income from merchandise sales, payments for adverts and commercial announcements, and donations from our members. Once our operating costs (hosting, bandwidth charges, etc.) have been deducted from the revenue that we raise each year, the remainder is donated to charity.

 

For the past three years, the Blue Room has contributed financially to Light Relief. As you might be aware, for 2006 we decided to ask our members which charity they'd like to support, and they've been voting on this for the last two weeks.

 

The poll has now closed, and we're pleased to announce that the organisation we'll be supporting throughout 2006 is The Combined Theatrical Charities.

 

So next time you buy a piece of Blue Room-branded merchandise (the next 'run' is scheduled for some time around Easter), place a "For Sale" advert in our Classifieds forum, or simply make a donation from the goodness of your heart (just click the "Donate" button at the top of the page), you can rest assured that, as well as helping to ensure the continued existence of your favourite entertainment technology forum, you're helping an industry-related charity.
