Firewood1
Has anybody experienced a problem with the Bull Frog with the most recent software upgrade (sorry, version number unknown as I am posting based on information from a friend). The problem seems to be that when the Mac 250s are recorded onto a submaster the desk no longer controls intensity of the macs unless the grand master is taken down. If the sub is taken down they stay at full, which they never did before the upgrade. Control over other attributes is unaffected. Any suggestions or known fixes would be greatly appreciated! sam.henderson
Because the control of the Macs intensity is HTP (Highest Takes Presedence) you need to make sure that there are no other memories or other commands running telling the fixture to stay at 100%. To test, run Memory 0 (or --), home the fixtures and drop the brightness to 0 and then have another go with the sub. Sam
Firewood1
This has been tried already, they are totally locking on. Not come across it myself. Definitely not a fixture fault as the grand master does take them off.
DSA
I suggest you post this over at at the frog support site where you will probably get a better answer - Zero88 Support David
peter
As sam says, it sounds as if you're not pulling down the virtual brightness fader for the units. On the Frog series desks, you have to imagine each fixture having a brightness fader, similar to your generic channels. When you're finished plotting with the fixtures, it is important to pull this fader down in order to ensure that what you play back is what was recorded. To do this, select the fixtures, press Brightness, then wheel down the middle wheel (Dimmer). The fixtures should then be off. Replaying a memory or submaster will now show the correct results. Hope this helps Peter
