Firewood1
I will be running Mac 5/600's off a distro with 10A circuits. The Macs each draw just short of 4amps when running but does anybody know what this rises to when striking the lamp? Would running 2 Macs on one circuit pull more than 10A in total, if the lamps were struck separately? Cheers
m.williams
hi there mac lights have a start up of 6.2amps for 500 and 600 macs so you will be pushing it if both strike at the same time. But if they are struck one after the other they might not pop the circuit (I have done that before) but not advisable. Mike
JonoKenyon
Hi, I belive that most Macs have varied strike times built into them, so you will almost certainly be fine. Also the strike of the lamp last for just a few moments, whilst the fuse will (unless seriously abused) hold out. Good Luck!
