The venue technician will support the technical manager on a wide range of activities including performances, rehearsals, workshops, meetings, weddings, parties and commercial events. We are looking for an experienced technician for our busy entertainment venue in Woolwich SE London to provide short term cover for staff sickness. This would involve duty technician days, maintenance, get-ins and show operation. Knowledge of Yamaha digital mixers and ETC Ion lighting desk an advantage, as would be an IPAF 3a ticket, but training is available in all. We have a mixture of music, dance, spoken word, community and corporate events over the summer. This is a fixed three month contract for a 45 hour week, over 5 days, including weekend, evening, and occasional overnight work. Overtime is paid at time and half for hours worked over 45, and double time for hours worked between 2330 and 0730 (payable pro-rata per every 15 minutes or part thereof) If you have some existing commitments, we can certainly look at those.
