  1. Thanks all for the feedback .Kerry Davies this is still true (I am long retired and haven't been there for a while but whenever I fell over in The Uplands Tav I don't think I ever hit the floor before I bounced off a sound man.) in most venues down here. Hope you`re enjoying your retirement, if your ever come back to Swansea you can mentor our guy
  2. Hello,I play drums in a rock band mainly playing pubs and clubs , we recently acquired a sound guy (An ex DJ) My problem is I keep arguing with him that he`s running all the speakers on too low of a volume (quarter to) causing horrendous noises coming from the PA while we play .So I`m looking for advice on what the speakers should be set at (I say at least 12 O`clock) the speakers are Mackie SRM450`s .We usually run at least one sub with them which he does the same with. Any advice/help appreciated. Thanks
  3. Thanks all for replying ,looks like a projector it is. Any recommendations around £200 ?
  4. Advice needed please, I want to get a psychedelic light effect but should I get an oil wheel lamp that take the 6” discs or should I get a projector that could play a video of the psychedelic effect . Thanks for any advice.

    Lighter Sub

Thanks for the reply, we found using one sub is better than using two subs it might have been louder but it didn`t have the same punch as the one.I think you are right about having 2 QSC`s but they are too expensive for us at the moment.

    Lighter Sub

Hi Kerry, thanks for your reply. I was afraid that you were going to say what you said so it looks like we carry on with the Yamaha it is a great speaker but weighs a ton. You are pretty much spot on with most of the loads aroumd us, when and with who did you play around Swansea.

    Lighter Sub

Hello, I play in a three piece band playing Blues Rock, the PA we currently use comprises 2 Mackie SRM450’s and a Yamaha DSR118 sub. Our problem is transporting the Yamaha Sub around as it is very heavy ,My question is is there anything that is lighter and as powerful (800watts) the whole band go through the PA. I have tried a QSC 112 but it just doesn’t do the same job. Thanks for any help/advice. I’m in the UK.
