QLAB Camera Input

Hello there, Looking to input a camera signal into QLab via SDI, can anyone tell me if the Black Magic Design UltraStudio Mini Recorder Thunderbolt would do this for me? I have a 2018 MacBook Pro (USB-C Inputs). Looking to output the camera signal via VGA or HDMI to a projector whilst also outputting some video in-between live camera output. Sorry if this seems like a silly questions. Many Thanks Chris.
