  1. In a small town in Norway. :) Are you indicating there is even more I can do to isolate the fault? The 6 pins from the PSU, perhaps? BTW, not surprisingly, the phantom power led is dead.
  2. Dave, thank you so much. I did, and it played just fine on the insert jacks. Great. Is it now time to ship it in pre-diagnosed, confident that the error is fixable at a cost justified by the value of a new similar product? :)
  3. Yes, thank you. Good idea. :) Here's a shared album I hope you are able to access. The large ribbon cable is the connection to the Lexicon effect module PCB. The two white spare sockets are labelled CN7 and CN8, and has never been connected that I know.
  4. Yes, but the stereo channels are the ones next to the main PCB, so they get power first, if from the same ribbon(s). Is the power passing by or through the channel PCBs? Maybe power don't get down the line because of an error on PCB channel 8 (which is the first mono channel counting from the main PCB and the stereo channels)?
  5. That was my thought too, that the lines dont get voltage for the inputs. I gues I can measure which ones they are if there is voltage on them, but I guess the problem is that they are dead? Which makes me blind. Is the 15V created in the power supply? It has 4 or 5 (don't remember) ribbons from it to the main board. I'm way outside mye profession now, so have me excused. :) Love fixing things outside my area of competence too!
  6. Inspired by you I opened my mixer (which was quite easy on this model, not needing to remove anything from the top), and found that all the mono tracks are separate PCBs, connected by the same ribbon cable that is also connected to the stereo tracks before finally connecting to the main board. It looks alle tight and clean in there. There is no visual sign of error, so I guess it a component that has died, since there is no reason to suspect cableing wear and tear. Thank you very much for engaging. I hoped someone would recognize the problem as a known problem on the product. Thanks!
  7. Thank you very much for helping out! It has stopped working, yes. The only signs of life on the mono channel part, is that the mute buttons light up and the Solo led reacts on the PFL buttons. :)
  8. Hello, My Soundcraft MFXi 8 gets no signal on any of the 1-8 mono channels, mic or line. No signal present led, no sound. Though it works fine with the stereo inputs ch 9/10 and 11/12. Can anyone suggest what might be wrong? What do those channels have in common that might have broke, but that don't affect the stereo channels? Does anybody have a suggestion if it is a smaller fix or if its just time to buy a new one? Shipping it in for diagnostic will cost close to half the price of a new mixer. :) Kind regards,
