  1. Yes, although you can get (at much more expense) sealed units. I started to offer backyward cinema options with the lack of work coming in, had been using a truss solution, but have since purchased some smaller inflateable screens which means my contact time is now very much reduced.
  2. Would a dust cap be sufficent? Or do you need something more robust? At the price point they could be a fit and throw away once used / damaged edit - didnt read Marks response fully....hes already mentioned them, apologies
  3. Hello, me again, would it be possible to order another 4 kits please (if you are still able to supply) Thanks
  4. I saw that the thread had a response and went through from the start and thought.....oooh that sounds like Acradia, then I saw Tims response LOVE what you guys do, its inspirational to a 'newbie' in this world
  5. So....illness has somewhat stopped play, though I am slowly clearing Halo out of HPE units http://www.blue-room.org.uk/public/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif I now have my original 6 units, 3 full units (hopefully) out of the 6 I have had from Halo,,,and 2 full miniscans, only now they are sitting next to each other have I realised they are not the same, fingers crossed I can still use some of the bits (and maybe rear casings) from those. Fingers crossed I can start to make some progress on these soon, either that or a big pile of bits will soon appear on the Bay
  6. Im going to use the suggested heatsink posted a couple of pages back now (the PC chip one) or an aftermarket alternative Will see if I can measure the light output somehow, this is all verrrrry new to me, so im happy to take others advice, my ultimate goal is to get these out more often and I can sell off my other heads, im not doing massive productions so would be happy with a reduced output (if that indeed what happens). Its not going to be a quick change over, I have a lot of different projects im juggling (along with building speakers) but as and when I make progress I will post in here
  7. For anyone considering ordering one of these kits, all I can say is do it. Received mine today and everything I need is there (bar of course the LED / Driver) Buy with confidence people, cant wait to get these changed over
  8. Super star, thank you :-) I will be using the ones you linked too earlier in the post, doing a conversion like this is all new to me and I wouldnt know how to identify which LEDs would be suitable, so your suggestions are good for me http://www.blue-room.org.uk/public/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif
  9. Yes - PayPal will be fine, drop me a PM with details and I will get it sorted Thanks for this, very much appreciated
  10. Superb - I have 6 units, though would be happy to convert 4 to start (which leaves me with 2 units for 'spares') unless someone else wants 2 or 6 doing - in which case I will go to 6 Let me know how you want payment and I will get it sorted for you, will be SO happy to get these out more!
  11. Could you still produce the kits / mountings? Ive started to look into this as this would mean I can get mine out much much more than they currently go out, as power consumption is a bit of an issue occasionally. In theory I 'could' buy new moving heads, but where is the fun in that ;-) (that and I run 'old skool' nights so being able to use the mini scans as they would have been in the 90s fits in with the theme rather than a modern moving head)
  12. Would love to pick your brains over this if possible? I have 6 project lights that would be ideal for converting, unfortunately photobucket sucks these days so although I can get to your main page.... I cant click on pictures!
