We've had some ColorSource cyc floods for a year or so now - they replaced 1.2kW four-cell cyc floods, and have found them to be excellent. Lovely flat light the full height of the cyc, including some fantastic deep blues that we just struggled to get previously. Although ETC do a conversion lens / reflector kit to turn the ColorSource engine as used in the fresnels and profiles into a cyc flood, we've got the dedicated cyc floods. They're cooler and far easier to rig than a four-cell tungsten flood!

I believe the way that you convert a Mac to LED is: Put the Mac on eBay Put the money towards buying an LED fixture I'm not aware of any way of converting them.

Some of the Mikrotik devices look interesting - they all seem to have broadly the same functionality as each other, and even the bare-bones access points have things like DHCP servers. Some of the access points have high gain directional aerials too, which I guess could be useful for some applications.

At my day job, we use sli.do quite a bit - it's another one that requires a phone, but there is a web interface so people don't have to download an app. It also allows people to post questions if that's of use.

On the plus side, an inability to fill in application forms does make for an easy first sift.
