On a recent show, I found that two of my four Chauvet Beam Wash fixtures (excellent little performers) were rendering colour differently from the other two. One Pat seemed warmer than the other. It was particularly noticeable in paler colours. When I got them home to test, I assumed that I would find that there would be a setting that would control colour as warm or cold, but couldn’t find anything. I decided to do a factory reset on the two “warm” ones and they all now seem fine. I was wondering if anyone has had a similar experience and if so, how they resolved it. I’m concerned that the same thing will happen again and I’m not keen on having to reset them too often. Thanks in anticipation Denis

Does anyone know if these bulbs can be got? They fit the original Strand Pattern 23 and 123 but they have halogen filaments. I don’t see a reference number on the bulb so it’s difficult to do a search for it. Denis

Update as of 1 June2020 Given all the extratime I have at the moment, I have continued to experiment with this issue and Iam now happy that I have resolved most of the problems. I am posting this incase anyone else has similar issues. The latest version isnow available on github at https://github.com/E...youts/issues/36 It includes a page with all of the EOS buttons laid out as perthe console, a page with encoders (yet to be completed), a page of groups andpalettes (more or less as originally set out), a page of faders (also more or lessoriginal) and a Playback page complete with master faders, grand master andload button etc. There are a few things specific to the showfile which itoperates but most of it will work on any showfile. I will continue to work to improve the file and may post a laterversion over time. Denis

I have made some progress on all of the issues so I thought it might help to post them here in case anyone else has similar issues. The header tabs issue was resolved by just removing the text labels and creating labels within the definition of the tab itself. The tabs don't change colour as they are selected but at least they all show. I get the sense that if I began a layout from scratch and reset the screen size in pixels to match the tablet, I would have more success, but the layout file scaled well using the ipad screen size option, so I went with that. In relation to the mapping, someone on the GitHub site gave me the link to the ETC page listing all OSC commands, so I have been working through those. This is the link Not all of the commands are obvious. I am currently building a playback section on Touch OSC so I need a load button as well as the go and stop buttons and two faders. The syntax for the load button is /eos/key/fader/_ab I am currently working to get the two master faders to work. Denis

Thanks a million for taking the time to reply and for your help. It has worked. I had the ports sorted already but not the osc udp tx address. Once I did that, it worked as you suggested. Problem number one sorted now, thanks. The header tabs are still not changing colour and the text can’t be seen even though I can see them in the editor. Any further suggestions would be really welcome. Then I move to the advanced level question about how to map objects to the nomad commands. Denis

I have been extending my Nomad system with various gadgets recently, and the latest one is Touch OSC control from an Android tablet. I have downloaded the TouchOSC layout from GitHub and while it works very well, I have some issues with it. I had been using it for a day before I realised there are four pages of screens. The tabs at the top are not displaying their headings or changing colour as they seem to be programmed to do. Also, the command line is not being populated as I type even though it appears to be programmed to do. I downloaded the editor and began experimenting by creating new pages and objects and uploading the new file to the tablet. Some of the changes worked but other didn't. does anyone know where I can get help with any of the above, and also, once I do get that far, how do you map the buttons to the relevant console commands. I have a number of Chauvet One Quad Zoom Tours in a rig sharing a DMX line with some Chauvet Rogue R2 wash heads. They had been working fine until tonight when suddenly one of the R2s began flickering and the Quads stayed on in white. I had no control over them. We just pulled the power on the line until the interval. At the interval, I checked connections etc and all but one fixture worked for act 2. When I looked at the missing quad after the show, it was showing D.001 rather than the address it was originally set to. When I reset it, it now seems fine as do all others on the line. Any ideas as to how this might have happened and why with just one fixture? The rig had been turned off and back on again many times without incident before this happened. Denis

I have just bought two Luma 700s and find them really good. When making my purchase, I was choosing between Luma 700 and Jetspot 4z, both from Prolights. I went for the brighter one - the Luma 700. I work in a variety of venues and need to be sure they will have the punch I require, so I didn't want to take a risk on the slightly weaker Jetspot. Your choice is between the 700 and the even brighter 1500. It's really down to the distance the fixture will be from the stage in the venue. In the largest venue I work in, I needed to be sure that the light would be strong enough for a 10 metre throw, and indeed the Luma 700 is just about bright enough for that. My budget would not stretch to the Luma 1500 but if it did, I would have gone for it. I note that you want these for gobos. I use my Lumas mainly as FOH specials, so I needed to be sure they would be strong enough even if they were zoomed out for a group of performers rather than an individual. Basically, I feel that if your budget will allow, then go for the brighter one - you can always turn it down. Are you sure you cannot arrange a demo? I had two demos before I went ahead with my purchase and I find AC Entertainment are very accommodating in arranging demos. Best of luck with the decision. Denis

How about the Behringer LC2412 https://www.thomann.de/ie/behringer_lc2412_eurolight_dmx_lichtmischpult.htm A bit fiddly to programme but once set up, it works fine. There is also a Botex equivalent but I have no experience of using it. DNT

I think you have just described the Zero 88 FLX desk! There are a few options available depending on requirements and budget, but I think you need go no further.
