Trantec S3500 receiver broken

Hi.

I have a Trantec s3500 handheld set that until recently was working fine but the receiver seems to have developed a fault.

 

When you power the microphone the receiver stays on RF mute and the A and B indicator LEDs flick back and forth constantly as if there's interference.

 

I've tried different transmitters, different frequencies and a second receiver and found the problem is specific to this one receiver.

 

Has anyone ever experienced anything like this before? I understand it's an old kit but I'd like to get it working again.

And he's a terrific guy. However having had one S4.4 hand mike repaired the next time I spent less to purchase a whole system from Ebay I now think twice.
