QLAB Camera Input

Hello there,

 

Looking to input a camera signal into QLab via SDI, can anyone tell me if the Black Magic Design UltraStudio Mini Recorder Thunderbolt would do this for me? I have a 2018 MacBook Pro (USB-C Inputs).

 

Looking to output the camera signal via VGA or HDMI to a projector whilst also outputting some video in-between live camera output.

 

Sorry if this seems like a silly questions.

It should do, up to 1080p60. You'll need a USB-C to Thunderbolt 2 adapter as well. As it happens I'm testing a mini recorder into a 2019 iMac via Apple's USB-C to Thunderbolt 2 adapter tomorrow. I'll report back the results!

Yes have done this quite successfully a number of times.

 

Can be a little tricky setup between camera, recorder and mac, but I always got it to work both on HDMI and SDI.
