Andrew C
Yes it can be done, all you need is money! You need to buy a new desk and perhaps a de-multiplex unit (Dmux) to turn a multiplexed digital control signal into an analogue control voltage for your dimmers. Without more detail, what dimmers you have, where you are and what sort of budget, we won't be able to help much... Some of this will have already been covered, have a search for "Cheap Lighting Desks" or something like that.
gareth
The word is CUE, not CLUE. As Andrew says, you need to hire/buy a different lighting desk to be able to achieve what you describe.
mac.calder
If your cues are not going to be sequential, then you would be better off using sub masters (also called scene presets, scene masters, and a cacophony of other names) Basically, each 'state' is assigned to a sub master, (on most low end desks, the bottom row of faders). If you need more than the number of faders, then most desks have multiple 'pages'. That means, that if you want to change to cue 2.23 whilst in cue 1.2 (written in the form page.master), you just hit the page button to go to page 2, and you cross fade, bringing down fader 2, and bringing up fader 23. ojc123
The word is CUE, not CLUE. In some school productions clue is about right. B-) Has anyone sunk this low? Have a look here. The issue of manual desks is discussed in some detail (and gets a little heated at times).
