The Production Midget
Hi there, Have just taken one of Mark Payne's excellent introductory courses for sound (see here), I am now looking to attend a similar course on lighting. This needn't be in depth but should be suitable for a range of situations e.g. outdoor shows, tours etc. I am based in the South East, so London would be ideal. I've seen the courses offered by Live Systems but as they're based in Edinburgh, it's a bit far to go! Having also used the search tool, I wasn't really able to turn up anything that was relevant to what I'm after. Any ideas anyone?
Jamtastic3
I like the sound of the programmes from Live Systems (me being in Edinburgh anyway) but the prices sound a little far fetched for just one day surely?
northlass
I have done the BTech in lighting and would recommend it although it is 3 days and may be longer than you are looking for. A little nag though: I am in Shetland and did mine in Bristol which is quite a journey but if I want to do any training I have to be prepared to travel. If you really want to do it, you make it happen. Don't let distance put you off.

northlass
It was the BTech intermediate in lighting (and other stuff). The one I did was at the Bristol Old Vic theatre school. It is run by Loughburgh (?spelling) college. They run them regularly - about 3-4 times a year at different venues around the country.A quick google or browse on their site should give you the info you need. ;)
