Small moving lights table recommendation

Dear All,

My company found that a small console for up to 20 moving lights might be quite what we need to buy. Thus I would like to ask you for some recommendations. Of course price is a vital factor in our choice. We were thinking about sth from the LSC Maxim range, perhaps the "L"? Do you know any other comparable to this one or to Rave/Spark by Compulite but perhaps a little less expensive?

Now we are working mostly on Comulite products (Vector Blue/Spark 4D/Sabre).

Thank you for all your suggestions

Best

I cannpt help with suggestions about the Compulite products but I would certainly advise you to look at something other than the Maxim range. I had the Maxim XLP and had to send it back as it was full of software glitches that made it impossible to run anything other than generics properly. If you can squeeze the money from somewhere you cannot beat an entry level Hog console. Well worth the money.

I called it a table because we call it so in Polish (ie we call it stol=table), so do not really take it as an English occurence of such use :o

On the other hand, you tend to call it a desk - which is unthinkable in Polish <_< while a desk and a table can be quite similar (if you mean piece of furniture of course)

As for the use of the desk we would do small coctail parties/concerts/and the like

Well, your English is immaculate so I would never have guessed :)

Anyway, to your choice. What kind of money are you looking to spend? If you can afford it then something like the Avo Azure Shadow (£3,880) might be the right kind of thing? The Azure 2000 is considerably cheaper at £2,800 but has that weird waterproof membrane instead of "real" keys. This might not bother you though.

I used to have one of these, they are nice desks.

Just make sure that if you do use it, you are careful to make everyone aware you are not actually using a MacDonalds' cash till to control lights :)

Apart from that, nice desk, prefer the shaddow, as when the 2000s get old, the buttons become funny.
