simschr
Just wondered if anyone has found a good deal on a Betapack 2 dimmer? Cheapest I have seen before is £367.00 Chris
gareth
You've tried the links to second-hand equipment vendors that are listed in the Blue Room Lighting FAQ, yes? Because at least two of them are listing Betapack 2 dimmers for sale at the moment ...
simschr
I have tried the links on AC lighting and usedlighting.co.uk They both have betapacks I just wondered if anyone had found a better price.

If your £367 is plus VAT, then both Usedlighting and AC beat it. Even if it includes VAT, Usedlighting still come in cheaper.
simschr
The betapack on usedlighting has got local control so not as many outlets on each channel.

So where else have you tried so far? It'd be useful to know, so that people don't waste time suggesting suppliers that you've already contacted. simschr
I got the price of £367.00 from thomann brand new inc VAT but I cant seem to find it now the 15amp socket version anyway.
tivoliproduction
my opinion is to ask stage electrics in Bristol, (I know I mention them alot but they are very good!!) either that or sometimes zero 88 have ex demo stock or slightly damaged stock (small scratch or dent with no electrical damage) for a reasonable price, if no use on the above then a phone call to thomann is worth doing (very good English)
Stu
simschr, The thing to remember with Thomann is you might get the Europe spec/version of the dimmer which means it'll come with Schuko sockets and not 15A. Last time I looked on there I couldn't see a UK version, so this may still be the case. Stu
Stutwo
Might be worth asking 10outof10 if they can at least price match, it's worth buying from them for the service you get, and they'll make sure you get the right one.
Paul J Need
Thanks for the plug Stutwo. Our current price is indeed £370+VAT for a brand spanking new Betapack twin 15A sockets. DMX and 8 pin DIN control. I'm a little confused by the message about prices listed on AC and usedlights.com usedlights.com = £442.00+VATac lights = List price10/10 £370 ;) And yesm Stutwo, we do offer a price match service also........ AC are currently listing three 'as new' Betapack 2s with twin 15A sockets for £335 each. Usedlighting are listing five (two 15A, three 16A) at £300 each, but they are the single socket version with local control.
Aghada
When I was looking for two Zero 88 Betapack 2 twin 15A, I looked at Thomann and they stocked them at the time. I just checked and it turns out I kept the link http://www.thomann.de/thoiw2_artikel-127129.html , but as you can see it looks like they no longer stock the 15a version. Anyway in the end I purchased them from 10 out of 10 as they gave me a good price at the time and you don’t have any problems about sending them abroad if something did unfortunately go wrong with them.
