Michael_hunt Posted July 26, 2005 Posted July 26, 2005 hi guys I'm looking to do a rock concert at a local venue, I'm mates with everyone there so I'm getting a very good deal on the hiring on the venue :P I want to do the concert to raise money for a local charity, I'm not asking for free kit or anything . . . At the moment, I would like a visualizer type thing, to be projected onto a cyc. They have a projector and a vision mixer. But I would also like different feeds. The only thing I've found which I looks good is Maxemedia. Which is a media server I think, but I cant find one to hire. So thats out of the question. I don't mind running it off a PC / Mac, or vision mixer or what ever really, as long as it works. I wouldn't be oping it as I would stage manage. I'm thinking of having more than one output aswell. Maybe 3 projections? I'm sure its possible, but how? Many thanks guys
david.elsbury Posted July 26, 2005 Posted July 26, 2005 Well, for the vis you could use winamp... run the vis 'overlayed' onto a secondary display. You can assign different vis's to hotkeys; 0-9 f1-f12 etc.Check it out.David
estmn Posted July 29, 2005 Posted July 29, 2005 heywhat I've done before for a dance party which turned out really cool. Was use a video camera, you could use a couple situated around the place. plugged into the video mixer, as well as visualization from a pc. I used a free program called touchplayer, which did the job. That is also plugged into the mixer, and then use color correction and chroma-key and strobe effect and whatever effects you want to chuck onto your stuff. That was all projected onto to seperate screens on either side of the stage, It turned out really well, and was quite a simple system. hope I was some help...
