Robe clubwash / clubspot

I'm new to Blue room so hi everyone.

 

I have noticed that in most topics on Robe lighting, the robe 160's and the 250's are mentioned frequently, but I have never heard much about the clubspot's and the clubwashes. Has anybody had any experience with these?

 

They seem quite good looking at the specs, they are best suited for clubs, but will they be any good for say bands etc. on stage? I want something bright and feature packed for around this price, but I didn't want to go ahead and buy them when the 250's (that according to you guys are probably better...) are only around £200 more and include colour mixing and stuff?

Whilst on the subject of cheap moving heads has anyone had a diablo before? are they easy to programme? Any suggestions for cheap good desks will be helpful.

Hi. I can only speak from limited experience from the original range of washs which had a problem with the colour wheels seizing due to heat.

I think they may have changed the motors since then though and are generally considered quite reliable.

 

Actually now I remember. They supplied an additional fan unit on warranty in the head to keep the temperatures down.
