Sorting out the loft, I found this socket set, which I think came from my Grandfather. Never used it, I have a smaller set for the rare occasions I need one in the theatre.

Is it the sort of thing anyone here can make use of? Or should I find a mechanic's forum to offer it? Or a museum? 😂

If anyone does want it, you would have to collect it from me in London, as it weighs 3kg and I don't want to post it!

I’m too far away and have stuff but anyone with a classic car or bike would have it.

You could try the local Facebook pages or find your local TOMCC (motorcycle club)

sorry about your Granddad

Kamasa made very good quality tools - I have a similar set - and a smaller set with metric and BA sockets, which are quarter inch drive.

Somebody should be delighted to have these!

Jeez!
Had exactly that set in the late 70s!!

In fact I think the remnants of it may well be kicking around the garage somewhere - certainly a few odd sockets!!

Looks very similar to my late-!960s Elora set, & probably equally indestructible.

I have both, Dad's purchased Elora; AF & W, I purchaded Kamassa for work as I needed metric.

In my view the Kamasa is a whole class better.

I now have them both although the Kamasa metal case has long since been deployed to the great workshop in the sky following a design error with an RSJ.

Like Tony's they both hail from 1970's and the Kamasa has definitely fared better despite receiving far more use, although I suspect there may be a few bits missing now due to lack of case.
