Hi Guys:

I am a stage design teacher from China, and I hope to take Oliver Theatre as an example to teach.

So I need your help

Does anyone have any CAD drawings of the Olivier Theatre at the National?

I'm wanting to stick this into my VW / Sketchup Library, Explain foreign stage forms to the students

Thank you for your help

You might find the ETC Eos practice projects useful:

https://www.etcconnect.com/Support/Tutorials/Practice-Projects.aspx

The On Headset - Paule Project is a recreation of the production of The Normal Heart at the National, complete with an Eos Augment3d model.

While this model cannot be put into Sketchup/Vectorworks, you can simulate the entire venue and rig within Eos.

Thank you for the reference information, but I do not know how to use the ECT lighting console, I am a professional stage design teacher.

What about

Educational Resources for Drama and Theatre Studies | Stage Electrics

Teacher resources | National Theatre

Five Lighting Techniques For Dance Performance

Educational Resources | ETC

A Process for Designing Lighting for the Stage: Determining Lighting Areas (Part 1) | designandtechtheatre

You should be able to pick out some content from these?

 here's a 3D Model of the Olivier

Can anyone recommend a free (not "free trial" or "will only work when you buy loads of add-ons") or cheap-ish DWG viewer. None of the ones I've tried have produced an image, & the one DWG-PDF convertor produced a very small image on a very large canvas🙁

A360 viewer works perfectly. You need to have an Autodesk account which is free. There's also apps fro Android and iPhone but I haven't used them.

Thanks. Maybe I'm being a bit ambitious trying to view something this complex on a 10 year-old laptop - the viewer never gets beyond "Loading"😥
