ChrisD Posted July 14, 2005 Posted July 14, 2005 School just chucked a pair of JBL Control 12 SRs and one tweeter isn't working (model no 2416). I have no idea what new horns retail at, or the speakers, so some advice as to where to get the part or a speaker which can be cannibalised would be great. Many Thanks Chris N.B. I have swapped everything over with the other unit so I am certain that it is the tweeter not the signal coming in or the crossover OR the lil "tweeter tweaker" knob.
J Pearce Posted July 14, 2005 Posted July 14, 2005 If all else fails fit both units with cheapo piezo units from maplins. £4.95 each, not great quality but they do their job and got me out of a hole last week when I blew a tweeter 4 hours before a show.
ChrisD Posted July 14, 2005 Author Posted July 14, 2005 Just did a thorough google and have found re-cone kits going for around £140-£150! Anyone know any cheaper suppliers than AC and WLE?
ChrisD Posted October 4, 2005 Author Posted October 4, 2005 Hate to dig this up again but no companies have come forward with replacements. Are there any corporate members who have replacement JBL parts? Or anyone who knows anyone etc? Please PM me!

RumbleO Posted October 5, 2005 Posted October 5, 2005 I bought a replacement JBL horn in July from Cimple Solutions They're open 24/7 and will service most things musical. Worth giving them a call, but it probably won't be cheap. Mine was £140.
