Longer stalk mic for GDS prompt desk?

Does anyone know if there are any stalk mics available to buy, that are longer than the standard one (32cm including the xlr plug)?

Being 5'5", I find speaking into the mic can be difficult without standing on the footrest of the chair (if it has one), especially in quiet moments on stage when I need to get close to the mic.

I've tried a search, but keep coming up with gooseneck mics which need phantom power (and prompt desks don't have that).

Many thanks

From another angle. One of these and a headset microphone?

The less RF in play the better, especially something of that quality. I've had too many musicians turning up with random radio packs and then wondering why they get problems. Latest mishap was a sax player who soundchecked successfully, but the receiver powered off automatically when she was out of range backstage. Came on to do a solo to silence.

Headset mics with XLRs are available, and could simple plug straight in but it would take care to avoid condensers.

I can remember gooseneck extensions that had an XLR connector on each end, but a quick google isn't turning anything up. Might well be discontinued.

There used to be goosenecks for mic stands. Something like could be used but would need a cabled mic and a hard fastened flange on the frame of the prompt desk.

Once it's "long" a gooseneck mic is too long for the XLR connector to support, so a fixed base and a cable mic may be the only way.

Search terralec.co.uk for gooseneck, they have one 500mm gooseneck BUT it's a stand accessory not an integral microphone. They also have the screw down plates to secure it down to a flat surface and clamps to connect a microphone.
