Greetings,

Can anyone reccomend a supplier of stage cloths. I'm looking for a 6m x 3m cloth ready printed or we can supply a design for printing (village square). Its for a pantomime so nothing modern.

Many thanks,

John

scenicprojects.co.uk or thoroughlytheatre.co.uk will both have village square backdrops to hire - however - just as an observation you'll probably find more are in the region of 12m x 6m as an average size so your choice may be limited but you might get lucky

Usual suspects for scenic backcloths would be
Border Studios
Scenic Projects
Albermarle
Proscenium
Thoroughly Theatre
Scenery Solutions

But as has been said, your 6 x 3m stage size is going to be a tricky one to source.

Probably easier and cheaper to have one made by banner people out of pvc. These can be 6x3m and cheaper than hiring a real painted cloth.

Indeed that is a possibility but be wary that cloths much larger than you need can be cumbersome when folded - especially if you're using them n a swipe track.

And also worthy of note that some suppliers do NOT like you folding their cloths, so either way it's best to check with them before you do so.

and they can supply ‘shortening clips’:

Alternatively a  stack of penny washers and some ties

It's called a double ended hook clamp 🙂

nope ,the bit the rolled cloth sits in is larger than a standard hook clamp. The  battern clip is closer to what im thinking about.

It was a long time ago but I used J&C Joel and it was for a gauze drape but they had a large range of cloths.
